Frequently Asked Questions
SPARK is a Donate Life Symposium presented by LifeSource to share information and inspiration about organ, eye and tissue donation with the healthcare community.
There’s a spark inside each one of us that calls us to our passion. Together, our collective spark ignites our community to action to help save and heal the lives of those waiting for a lifesaving transplant and to provide compassionate, hopeful care for grieving families.
A spark is all it takes to ignite hope, fuel ideas and kindle community.
Each year we work hard to design the Symposium to be as relevant as possible to not only donation, but your wider healthcare practice with skill-building around topics like collaborative partnerships and working with families from diverse communities. You’ll return to your facility with specific tools to help improve your donation program and strengthen your advocacy in your community.
If you’ve attended the Symposium in the past then you know this is an event not to be missed! Our 2019 event will have a new focus for the Simulation Learning with an immersive experience that’s as close as possible to observing an actual donation. Complex case studies from two Level I Trauma Centers will be presented. The full agenda of breakout session topics can be found here. As always, the day will be full of education, inspiring donation and transplant stories and a few surprises along the way.
The 2019 Donate Life Symposium is being held at Mystic Lake Event Center in Prior Lake, Minnesota. All symposium-related events on October 23rd and 24th will be at Mystic Lake, and lodging is available at a reduced rate until the hotel block is full. Find more information here.
